Hi all :)
I have owned a 1957 27' CC Sedan with flybridge since 1992, and am only the second owner since it was new. When I purchased it originally, I stripped the woodwork and refinished it, as well as rechromed most of the fittings. It has been moored under cover since then and is located near Portland Oregon. Due to relocation, I'm going to have to sell it. Actually I relocated some years ago but decided not to part with it, thinking I might return. Doesn't look that that's gonna happen...
The boat underwent about $6000 in repairs five years ago to repair rot in the shaft log area (the affected area was about a foot square)...these repairs were conducted by a professional boatyard that does frequent work on CC boats.
It is powered by its original single CC ML (150 hp) engine. It is completely original inside and out with the following exceptions:
- original 6 volt generator changed to 12 volt.
- Installation of holding tank for waste
-replacement of original linoleum flooring in the cabin (with solid mahogany planking)
- full camper canvas (most of which I have removed, but still have
- replacement of original vacuum tube transceiver and depthsounder.
My question: Anyone have any idea of a range for it's value? It does require some cosmetic maintenance but is a very sound and original specimen.
Thanks to all respondents!
