We have a 1995 Sea Ray 290 Sundancer and recently purchased an Aqualine 9.9' inflatable dinghy with a 4HP Tohatsu outboard. We have had great fun with both. Currently we are storing the outboard in the cockpit and the dinghy is awkwardly tied to the swimstep. We are looking to take the plunge to a davit system and came across the Adventure Marine Davit system (see link). They are basically made up of two pivoting arms on the swimstep that wrap around the tube of the inflatable and allow you to swing the dinghy easily up on your swimstep. In addition the complete system comes with an outboard pivot so that you don't have to remove it each time you raise or lower it.
My question is: does anyone have this davit system and does it work well? The ease of installation and use is very attractive versus the glueing and installation of more traditional davit systems. I look forward to your feedback and thanks for a great forum.
