I'm kind of new to big water boating.  My boat is a single engine I/O.  The only problem I had towards the end of last season was that it would overheat after about 15 minutes of cruising around.  Drop down to idle and she cooled down.  Changed the thermostat, but that didn't help. 

I would also be interestead to hear any tips or tricks about general maintance on Slick crafts and if there are any clubs or groups that specialize in Slickcrafts.

Billy,  has your boat been repowered?  What power are you running?  I had this problem with my 1989 279 Slickcraft repowered with a 2003 496MAG - turned out the problem was twofold; A)rawwater cannot come in via the outdrive (Bravo1) but needed thruhull intake as motor is too large.  B) Check (if applicable) exuast temp sensor.
