I have a 89' Seamaster 2288 and I like it.  4.3l omc cobra gets it up to 36 mph on the gps with calm seas, but still slices right through 4-5 foot seas. I replaced the risers and power steering cylinder beacuse of small leak but I am told that all brands use a similar ps setup and it's not a brand thing. all origonal deck hardware was crome-zamak not stainless steel and quickly deteiriorated in the atlantic , replaced the shift cable to lower unit and I was quickly on blue seas. Easy to trailer, I pull it with a little jeep cherokee. I'm looking forward to painting it soon

  HI RAGENT,

  I HAVE A 22' 1988 SEAMASTER (I BELIEVE ITS A 2288). IT'S A GREAT BOAT, I FISH OUT OF GARIBALDI, ORE (TILLAMOOK BAY).

THE ENGINE IS A 2002 4.3L UPDATED THE COOLING SYSTEM TO FRESH WATER

HAD TO HAVE THE LOWER DRIVE REPAIRED LAST YEAR, PUT IN THE NEW 5 DEGREE GEAR SET.

I  ALSO TOW WITH A  V8 JEEP CHEROKEE. THE VEHICLE IS A LITTLE  LIGHT FOR

THIS BOAT.

 HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU
