Hey we have a 91 2870 twin V6. Use it on Lake Powell Utah. I would love to hear from some other cruiser owners and share some information.

I have a bizarre electrical problem. The battery on the starboard side is drawing down all the time until dead. Volts are about 13.12.. I replaced the battery, alternator, isolator. Can't figure out what else it could be. Disconnected all the other possible wires. Most of the house and other power items run off the port anyway. I was thinking about eliminating the isolator and putting in some battery switches this winter.  Any thoughts.

I don't have a radar arch or gen-air, but I would like to add them. Any idea where I can get parts?

Are there any other cruiser owner sites out there?

Anyone add a swim platform?

Hi I'm not sure about your electrical issue but I do have a question for you.  Does your wet bar have cup holders molded into it?  The reason I am asking is, we have a '90 2870 holiday and I think it has the same cockpit as a '91.  All the pictures that I have seen for the '90's have cup holders molded into the wet bar and ours does not. 

How do you like boating on Lake Powell/ I hear it is fantastic boating.  We are Lake Michigan boaters.

We also have twin 4.3L with alpha 1 stern drives.  Does your boat have a standard RH drive and a counter rotating (LH) drive?  We have RH draives on ours and it makes it list to the left.  Does your list?

Hope you can resolve your electrial issue.

I don't think it has cup holders because I always have to put my beer in the sink. There are cup holders on the dash.  I will check to make sure, it is currently being winterized. My "28' Series Owner's Manual" has a picture diagram of the general layout and it shows what appears to be 4 molded plastic cupholders behind the sink. The manual is not specific to Rogue. I also have a 1989 edition of Cruisers Connection, a newsletter for Cruiser owners,  where the 2870 Holiday was featured. It looks just like my 2870 Rogue.  The picture looks like it has molded cup holders behind the sink. I will scan it and send it to you.

It took me a while to figure out the rotation of the drives. They are both standard. My dealer called Merc and they said they haven't made a LH drive in a 4.3 for decades so they are sure mine are both RH.  It is the only twin I have seen that does not have a counter rotation, but I really don't know that much about them. I can't tell the difference in handling. If it lists I wouldn't know it. Probably because I am too busy correcting for all the wakes. I have only had this boat one summer. I am still trying to figure out alot of the features.

Powell is great for the desert. The canyons are really something to see, especially during a a storm with the waterfalls. I don't have to worry about navagation issues.

Have you checked out all of the boats on line to see if they have the cup holdrs you are talking about?

My bench seat is to the port behind the sink and I am thinking about moving it to the stern behind the capt seat, making a rear facing seat so I can convert to a double bed.  I saw a few pictures like that is some of the boats. I think it was adopted in later years. How about yours?
