I have a 34 foot 03 pilot I thought the fuel gauge was broken ,but after checking out the two 125 gal saddle tanks i located the 2 seperate sending units the 2 tanks are teed off so the drain evenly.
The sending unit on the starboard side was bad,Also the sending unit on the starboard side was also bad The tank on the starboard side is imposible to remove but the one on the port side can be removed it is located between the cocpit seat & the cooler.
After inspecting the sending unit The o ring was curled up allowing diesel fuel to enter the housing.I cleaned out the insid& replaced the o ring 7 resealed with compound to prevent any more intrusion of fuel into the guts of the unit.
I think this is a mfg screw up & it probly is the reason the starboard sender won't work Even though I can't get to it.
I rewired the port sender & it works great
