My upper door sliders have pulled away from the door and I can't seem to figure out how to remove the entire sliding door assembly to fix this? Has anyone removed the door assembly to install new rollers on the bottom or to make repairs to the door? I'm hoping the boat wasn't built around the door!
I had a 2001 245 WE and the upper sliders detached from the sliding hatch completely! The only wat to repair this is to remove the entire helm station piece and replace sliders back in track. The problem is to reattach the sliders to the sliding hatch! I traded before the repair was done, can't tell you more.
I investigated this further last night after speaking with a sea ray dealer. The fact is, that the way the tracks are designed there is no other way to remove the door without removing the helm. While it looks like a lot of labor to perform this, it does not look that bad. The door seems to rest on plastic marbles of sort and mine are really gooved bad. I assume this was one of the issues that caused the problem. I may have also caused the door to fail prematurely since we have done a lot of walking up/dn the steps with the door partially open. After seeing the design I think I will only use the steps with the door fully closed.
