Just bought a new Islander 270. While using the Raw Water wash down a horn sounded. It is intermittant and I can not tell where it is coming from, bad hearing. I have used the wash several times and never heard it before. When starting the motors I sometimes hear it again, in addition to the normal blare from the Yamaha warnig system. I hadn't used the boat for a couple of weeks and noticed that the Fridge was still cold, shutting it off, short of pulling the fuse, is another whole question. I'm wondering if this is a low battery warning coming from the onboard charging system? Any ideas??

    I am not sure what the horn is about, but the control knob on the fridge, if it is like mine, is a HARD  turn.  I have a n Islander 270 purchased  new in January.    It is a 2004 model, but new.  First time I used the fridge it stayed on even when I thought I turned it off.  My control dial for the fridge is on the top and rear of the fridge.  I twisted the dial carefully, but firmly until it clicked and was off.   Maybe the horn comes on due to the fridge, it is 12 volt.  Maybe pulling the batteries down.

Pescadero,   I thought I had turned the fridge off but, after reading your post, I twisted a little harder and "click" its Off.  Because the fridge kept running one battery down, I'd hear a horn.  Finaly traced it to my GPS, a Garmin 3210c, which has a low battery sensor built in.  I shut off the GPS and then I heard a different horn.  Found out that my VHF, a Uniden, also has a battery sensor.  I think your suggestion may have solved all my problems.  Thanks
