My 36' Carver AftCabin Twin Gas came factory equipped with raw salt water cooling for the big main engines as well as the Kohler genset. I have never thought that this was a good idea and would lead to problems of corrosion over time. While I have had no problems to date and regularly flush the engines with fresh water I would request that any Carver owner with the same set up advise me of any problems that they have experienced with this raw salt water cooling situation and what was required to recover from the problem.
