I have a 1979 43' Viking aft cabin.  If your 38 is in the older range like mine, there may be similar issues.  I've had mine for 4 years.  Marv

It is a 1990 so I doubt the issues are the same.  Great boats.

Mark - I should have checked my records on Vikings before I responded to you.  The 38' Convertibles were produced from 1990 to 1995.  The 43' aft cabins were on stretched 40' Convertible hulls and were produced from 1975 to 1982.  Enjoy your 38.  It's a great boat.  They will take on almost any weather if you know how to handle the boat.  Marv
