Hello All:

I just purchased a 2000 Rogue 14ft side console boat that looks VERY similar to a Whaler. This boat is brand new and was sitting on the marina's lot for six years. I have been unable to find any information on this boat, even internet searches come up empty. All I know about this boat is that on the side it says Nauling in small letters and Rogue boats in large letters and has a model number of 1400. Can anyone supply some background information on this little boat?

Thanks,

Al

From my memory this was one of those cold formed boats that came on the market about five years ago but seem to have disappeared now.  They were supposed to be extremely tough.  Indeed, I remember one dealer having a sledgehammer next to the boat that he invited passersby to bounce off the hull.  They don't seem to have caught on because we don't see them around too much on the Chesapeake Bay anymore. I could imagine, however, that they would be extremely durable.

Please don't have any delusions that they are built like a Whaler other than the looks. They will certainly not float is filled with waterLOL

hello Chimoii,

Thanks, but this boat is of standard FG construction, I do not think this is the boat you are thinking about. I did get a lead that the manufacturer might be Fiberglass Industries. I am not sure if this helps.
