Hello all!

I just recently picked up a 93 252 BR that I have made my winter project to restore and upgrade.  The boat is rock solid, however she will take some getting up.  The previous owner let the top surfaces oxidize out and there was lots of mold in the cushions and the gel coat.  Anyway, I have gotten her presentable for now, but soon as the weather turns she will get a new look.

I have figured out how to disassemble a lot of the boat but there are two areas that I find somewhat challenging.

1) How do I remove the whole wrap around windshield assembly?

2) I would like to upgrade the outside bumper rail; can I buy it from Formula direct?  (No dealer here in GA)

Also how the heck do I get the screws to line up when I put it back on and does Formula use epoxy or silicon in the screw holes?.

Also, the boat has bottom paint that I want to remove.  Anybody have any experience with good results?  Has anyone ever used Franmar SoyStrip Marine Boat Paint Remover & Stripper?

Feedback appreciated!   Thanks.

Best regards,

Robbie

To answer a couple of your questions I will tell you what I have found on my 36PC:

I contacted Taylor directly about my windshield questions. I was looking for the vinyl strips that go along the bottom of the windshield to cover the screw holes.  According to them, the windshield on my boat is assembled on the boat and comes off that way (i.e. not as a complete unit.).

The rub rail, if the same as what I have, is available from Taco. It is white with a stainless insert.  You can probably have it ordered from Taco by your local West Marine store.

Best of luck -
