Hello all!
I just recently picked up a 93 252 BR that I have made my winter project to restore and upgrade. The boat is rock solid, however she will take some getting up. The previous owner let the top surfaces oxidize out and there was lots of mold in the cushions and the gel coat. Anyway, I have gotten her presentable for now, but soon as the weather turns she will get a new look.
I have figured out how to disassemble a lot of the boat but there are two areas that I find somewhat challenging.
1) How do I remove the whole wrap around windshield assembly?
2) I would like to upgrade the outside bumper rail; can I buy it from Formula direct? (No dealer here in GA)
Also how the heck do I get the screws to line up when I put it back on and does Formula use epoxy or silicon in the screw holes?.
Also, the boat has bottom paint that I want to remove. Anybody have any experience with good results? Has anyone ever used Franmar SoyStrip Marine Boat Paint Remover & Stripper?
Feedback appreciated! Thanks.
Best regards,
Robbie
