Hello Group!
I'm a brand new member on the board, and wanted to ask a question about the Go-fast Chris-Craft.
My boat is a 1988 Stinger 311 (center console, v-berth forward,
hardtop, cut transom with splash board, 31.5 feet long) It currently is
equipped with a pair of 1988 Mariner outboards that are not getting the
job done: Ventalating terribly, sucking air, can't shift the port,
stalls out, not making me happy. I'm currently evaluating
re-powering options.
My questions are for those people that repowered their
Stinger/Scorpion. What did you repower with, did you use a bracket, and
how happy are you with the results? Have you had any problem with the
strength of your transom? Any regrets?
Thanks a bunch, and I look forward to the replies.
Ed
