Well, I went to West Marine today, and the salesman there sold me on the do-it-yourself kit. It took 10 gallons of antifreeze. One can of fogging oil.
Just warmed up the engine using water until the thermostat opened, about 15 minutes. Turned off the water, switched to the jug of antifreeze. Ran the engine until there was about 1 gallon of antifreeze left in the jug. Fogged the engine until it stalled. No problems. Done with -60 antifreeze. Same procedure for each engine. Ready for shrinkwrap.
FYI, the West guy told me to NOT let the antifreeze run out, hence the fogging while there was still 1 gal, in the jug. He said the antifreeze in the pump housing will protect the impellor and housing from freezing.
