I have a 2000 Formula 26 BR. This is a great boat but I am having an ongoing problem with the gold letters and the bird sumbol coming off when the boat is bounced around when tied up at the dock. I was recently at a marina and noticed a similar model to mine with no fewer than 3 letters missing. I have not been able to get any satisfaction or a satisfactory answer from the people at Formula/Thunderbird. I also have a Cobalt and the letters on this boat never come off. I would like to know if any other Formula owners have had this problem and if so how it has been dealt with.
I know of a lot of Formula owners and never heard of this. Are the letters screwed in, are there bolts to hold them? Just trying to fihure out how they are coming off?

The letters have a self-adhesive backing.You peel off the protective paper and stick them on. Formula tells me the adhesive is supplied by 3M. I don't think the ashesive works the way it should given the number of letters I have lost.
I also have that probleam with my 34pc, gold letters and bird falling of for no aperant reason, unfortunatly its so noticeable would love some help with this
I have a 1999 34PC. The only problem I had with my letters was the gold color became discolored. They replaced them once, and the same thing happened. While the boat was out of warranty, they sent me a new set for the whole boat. The letters took some elbow grease to remove using a heat gun. It was a 3M adhesive backing.
Maybe they didn't remove the mold release wax from the factory before they applied the letters.
