Rain water damage to the wood frame of "L" shaped upholstery at starboard side of mid-cockpit seat is a continuing problem on my 1995 290DA.  Has anyone solved this?  My last effort was to build a new frame, and paint it with bildge coat paint.

The Sea Ray forum now has several possible solutions posted for solving this problem (see searayowners.com); however, I'm still interested in any ideas available here.
