I own a 1982 Chris Craft Corinthian and am thinking of moving it from the coast to an inland lake. Can this boat be moved without removing the flybridge? If not how hard is it to remove the flybridge?

The boat can be moved okay, the problems comes with the highway. You should check with some guys who truck boats...your boatyard should be able to recommend someone..if not any broker will know some truckers. You/he will need a permit, since the Chris is over 8 ft wide, and will probably have to remove the flybridge in order to stay within the height limitations on your trip....cross-bridges, telephone wires, etc. Removing the bridge isn't difficult, but it takes some hours and some knowledge. Lots of things have to be disconnected and then put back together again properly. Good luck. Dave

Mine moved with dropping only the upper control station, bridge
stayed intact, but the Stainless rail tops also came off. Moved from
MN to IL.

HI: You can probably get by without total removal of the fly bridge. Transporters can advise on the. I do know if it is over 13 foot high a front pole car escort is required and also a rear wide load escort.Getting it under 13 foot will save on the pole car escort.size and weight also come into play as to the routes, etc.I would call a transporter and get a estimate of the cost.

Hi guys. I just discoverd the corinthian forum. I have a 1977 331 corinthian flybridge. I moved her fom Maryland to STUART, FLORIDA 7 years ago. Hire a marine trucking outfit to mover. Had to lomwe the bridge cover, remove flybridge windshield and steeting wheel. Only problem when the boat arrived at riverwatch narina, I found out the truck had an air shoch blow out and a tire tried to eat a hole in bottom of my hull. Marina called in a glass tech who fixed it quickley , the trucker paid for it and we launched that evening. I've owned Mystic Diver II for almost 20 years. Owned a 25 chris catalina before that. Hope we can Have a good forum like the catalina guys. Capt. Heavy
