Well Jeffn isn't the only Renken owner out there. I own a Renken MidCabin 240 Classic, "Sea Angel". I purchased it used at a good price and have been slowly fixing her up. So far she has been a good boat.
I have used this boat for crusing and fishing on the Hudson river in the Hyde Park, NY. area for a few years and currently have her on the James River in Virginia.
I'm looking at re proping the boat as the current prop would allow me to exceed the max WOT RPM. The engine is a Mercruiser 5.0L through a Mercruiser Alpha 1 Gen 2b outdrive, I think it has a 2:1 ratio I'm currently running a 14.5 17p prop. I'm considering moving to a 21p prop. Is anyone else out there running this combination? If so what prop size and pitch prop are you using and what is your WOT and max speed?
