I repowered my 1987 27 open tiara w/cruisader 350 fuel injected 330 horsepower mpi.  I am running  15/16 nibral wheel doing 22 knots @ 3400 rpms.

 I am looking for better fuel economy & performance, my question is  what size nibral wheel are they running and have others done the same?

My 1988 27 Open had the original 350/270hp engines and 16/16 wheels, which were also original.  Engines would turn up to 4400 rpm, which was the max for those engines.  To correctly prop the new engines, you want to hit the max rated rpm for the engines with your typical load.  What are your current max rpm's with your wheels and what is the max rpm for the new engines?
