According to www.uscg.mil/d5/ICE_REPORT/ the Captains of the Ports of Delaware Bay and of Baltimore have imposed no current restrictions for the C&D Canal nor for the Upper Chesapeake Bay. Both continue to be on Seasonal Alert, should conditions change.
Even though the Captains of the Ports above have no restrictions, boaters should exercise extreme caution on the waters of the Upper Chesapeake Bay as there is still some ice reported, and some may not be visible.

Barge Sunk in Fort Pierce Inlet, Inlet Closed:
On February 24, 2015, a barge (100 ft by 40 feet) being towed into the Fort Pierce Inlet in Florida sank in the inlet, inside the jetties, and is reported to have broken into two sections. The Coast Guard has closed the inlet to vessel traffic. A three part salvage plan is in place. Salvage will be weather dependent and much of it will have to take place at slack tide. There is no date for reopening the inlet.

Again--Shoaling Reported in New River Inlet AICW Crossing:
Hazard to navigation - shoaling has been reported to a depth of 3 feet between the Bogue Sound-New River Buoy 72A (LLNR 39300) (34.553901°-77.349136°) and Bogue Sound-New River Buoy 72B (LLNR 393003) and depth of 4 feet at Bogue Sound-New River Buoy 74 (LLNR 39305) on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. Schedule for Week of 1/26/2015 to 1/29/2015
Canaveral Locks (28.408777°-80.637077°) will be closed for repairs according to the following schedule:
Monday January 26 from 0800 to 1200 and 1300 to 1700.
Tuesday January 27 from 0800 to 1200 and 1300 to 1700.
Wednesday January 28 from 0800 to 1200 and 1300 to 1700.
Thursday January 29 from 0800 to 1200 and 1300 to 1700.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation has advised the Coast Guard that they will be repairing the SC Route 171 (Wappoo Creek) Bridge (32.766286° -79.974176°) across the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway mile 470.8, Charleston, South Carolina. The contractor Adelphi Inc.DBA G-Force Contracting has requested that the Wappoo Creek Bridge be placed on single-leaf operations starting January 21, 2015, with a four hour notice for a double-leaf opening. ...... Hillsboro Inlet Bridge Repairs and Closure Schedule Announced (NOT on the AICW):
PCL Civil Constructors, Inc. has advised the Coast Guard that they will start work on the repairs to the Hillsboro Inlet Bridge (26.261229° -80.083250°) on January 5, 2015. This project is anticipated to be completed by November 14, 2015. There will be various bridge restrictions and closures throughout this project. The contractor will be working closely with the marine interests to ensure impacts to navigation will be at a minimum.

Pungo Ferry Bridge Emergency Repairs:
Mariners are advised that emergency fender repair work has commenced and will continue through January 2015 for the SR 604 Bridge across the North Landing River, at AICW mile 28.4, in Virginia Beach, VA (commonly known as the Pungo Ferry Bridge) ( 36.614141° -76.059110°). The operation will consist of debris removal and repair of the bridge fender system, with in-water work involving pile driving, lighted barges in and near the channel, and divers. New Bern RR Bridge Closure for Repairs:
The operating schedule that governs the Norfolk Southern Railroad Drawbridge across Trent River, mile 0.2, at New Bern, NC (35.099593° -77.041370°) will be temporarily changed to facilitate a repair project. This deviation allows the bridge to remain closed to navigation from 8 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2014 until 7 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2014. Fields Cut Shoaling Reminder:
There is shoaling directly in the middle of the Intracoastal Waterway in Fields Cut and is blocking 3/4 of the waterway and poses a serious hazard to navigation during low-tide. A depth of 2ft has been reported in approximate position 32-05.185N/080-56.022W. Fields Cut Temp LB 48A has been established in position 32-05-10.319N/080-56-00.740W.
