1. The better the mud for holding, the harder it’ll be to clear from your gear. Be glad that your problem is cleaning it up, not trying to deal with a collision or grounding from dragging anchor.
2. If you install a wash down pump buy one that’s designed for the purpose and that has high pressure and volume. Use sea water, not the fresh water from your tanks. You’ll deplete that soon. Install it well and properly. It may be living in a wet and unfriendly environment.

1. You Boat and You Vote. Let people know, whenever it’s appropriate.
2. Not only do we vote, we are more likely to vote than many other sectors of the general population. This means that we can have serious clout even though the majority of the population may not be boaters.
3. Consider boating issues along with all the other issues to be considered as you decide for whom to vote.
4. In your community work with people who know the numbers as to the economic contribution of boaters. Often this is huge and not realized by the general public. Get the facts out.
