Toms Tips About Trailering

By Tom Neale - Published December 03, 2012 - Viewed 526 times

There are many special tricks of the trade that are often overlooked but are extremely important. For example:

1. Failure to keep your bearings properly greased could cause the loss of a wheel.

2. Improper loading of the trailer tongue can cause serious issues.

There is a great source for trailering information on the BoatUS web site. For example click on http://www.boatus.com/BoatTech/default.asp and then click on Trailering to read many articles. If you can’t find what you want, go to the Ask the Experts section at http://my.boatus.com/askexperts/, scroll down to “The Boat Trailering Guys,” and ask a question. You must be a BoatUS member to ask a question, but anyone can read the answers.
