Good news for the World Sailfish Championships as the sails showed thick this week. The Holeman's and family had the pleasure of going offshore last week with friends on The Work of Art, a Destin based 76 Viking. Fun vessel and it is a vessel.
Robert Monroe, Robert Ashler and Katie Lynn Strode all had some great fun on a guides day off sailfishing. Katie got her first billfish and her first baptism. It was a serious one too. Laughs all around. Some close friends fishing in the tournament boated 17 of 19 yesterday before the wind. Super action packed. Pilchards, ballyhoo and a host of other bait are thick this week.
If you've had a hankering to catch a sail now is the time.
I want to wish all the anglers in the Championships good luck!
