Tom’s Tips About Boardings

1. Always be courteous, polite, respectful and professional when government forces are boarding.

2. If you feel that an announced boarding is unsafe because of sea and/or weather conditions, respectfully note your objection and your reasons, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t comply with authorized orders.

3. If you feel that you have been mistreated or that there has been some improper conduct by the boarding party, hold your comments and opinions until you’re back ashore and then make any complaint that you feel may be appropriate, in writing, to the appropriate authority. And remember, that the boarding party may have had information at the time which was unknown to you.

Boating and water sports involve risk. Any comments herein should be followed at your own risk. You assume all responsibility for risk or injury to yourself or others. Any person or entity that uses this information in any way, as a condition of that use, agrees to waive and does waive and also hold authors harmless from any and all claims which may arise from or be related to that use.
