Tom’s Tips About Bird Watching

1. Bird poop that is left to dry on Lexan windows or hatches can produce patches of surface crazing underneath. While these patches on our boats never cracked completely through, they were unsightly.

2. Bird poop can accelerate deterioration of stitching in canvas products.

3. The discoloration that some bird droppings leave on gelcoat will usually bleach away over time. But if you want to get rid of it fast, there is a product for you--Starbrite’s “Spider and Bird Stain Remover”! (www.starbrite.com)
