My Star Clipper Blog - Day One

The Star Clipper is docked at St. Martin next to a Princes Cruise Liner when we see it for the first time. It looks tiny. Terri and I both agree that we don’t want to be just a face in the crowd among the few thousand that will sail out on the Liner and happily climb the gangway onto “our” sailing ship. Breezes are coming off of the hills and we are softly swaying on the water. Tonight we sail for Anquilla with 130 other passengers.
I have never been to sea before and had been concerned a little about seasickness, but tonight the seas are gentle and falling to sleep will be easy. Our cabin has a porthole just above the water line and occasionally a wave will splash against it.
