And Yet ANOTHER Change for ICW Closure at Ben Sawyer Bridge:
In response to rumors, I called the three numbers given below from the Sector Charleston MSIBs regarding the above closure. The Coast Guard Command Center confirmed that the ICW closure at the Ben Sawyer Bridge has been postponed until further notice. I left voice mail at the other two numbers, but don’t expect to hear anything soon, as they must be swamped with inquiries. There should soon be an update to the MSIBs. Check https://homeport.uscg.mil/mycg/portal/ep/portDirectory.do?tabId=2&cotpId=19 .
There is currently bad weather in the area which may be prompting the change, or it may be something else. We’ll try to keep you posted, AGAIN.
For questions regarding the bridge construction, please contact Ms. Julie Hussey of PCL at (843) 224-1096 or Mr. Kim Partenheimer of PB Americas at (843) 972-1775. Coast Guard Sector Charleston may be contacted via our 24-hour Command Center Line at (843) 740-7050.
