FEB 24 2009
PUBLIC NOTICE 5-1137

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

SUBJECT: PROPOSED MODIFICATION TO THE REGULATIONS GOVERNING
THE OPERATION OF THE FIGURE EIGHT SWING BRIDGE ACROSS
THE ATLANTIC INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY (AIWW) AT SCOTTS
HILL, NC.

The Coast Guard proposes to change the drawbridge operation regulations of the Figure Eight Swing Bridge, at AIWW mile 278.1 at Scotts Hill, NC. Portsmouth, Virginia 23704-5004. Written comments on this proposal must be submitted on or before April 6. 2009.

It is requested that this information be brought to the attention of any person having a possible interest in the proposed changes to the regulations who may not have received a copy of this Public Notice.

WAVERLY W. GREGORY, J
Chief, Bridge Administration Branch
By direction of the Commander
