My Royal Clipper Experience Windward Islands- Day 7 December 19, 2008- Martinique

By Ginger Fletcher - Published December 19, 2008 - Viewed 2234 times

Unlike every other morning where we had woken up to beautiful scenery, today when I looked out the porthole all I saw was a container ship.  This was a little disappointing.  We were docked at the shipyard.

My sister and I decided to walk to town.  The town was no different from any other big city.  It was big, crowded and commercialized.  This was my least favorite port.   We walked around for a couple hours and went back to the ship.

When we got back to the ship, my sister decided she was going to climb the mast.  After my zip lining experience, I decide I was not.  She did it and was able to take pictures from the Crows Nest.  This was pretty cool.

That evening we packed up because tomorrow we would be back in Barbados.  We had dinner with a few friends we had made.  It was a quiet evening.
