Hello Again from Texas,
We have had another productive weekend and Monday here in Houston.
The surveyors spent a fair amount of time this weekend processing paperwork and getting it to the adjusters in the office. As a result we have XX files closed and another XX files in which we have sent CTL (Constructive Total Loss) settlement documents out. Rob, Trisha, Andrea and Rocky have continued to work diligently to manage the files. The number of settlements and CTL's being processed should stay high over the next few days as the surveyors press to finalize the majority of the claims in each area.
We still await a decision from the city in Baytown regarding the salvage contractor. At the Houston Yacht Club we have completed all of our salvage jobs on land and have just 2 remaining to be raised in the basin.
In Clear Lake we continue to work on several salvage jobs, unfortunately the 58 Altima has not yet been removed from the yard in Clear Lake Shores but the contractor loaded their crane on the barge today and the job should happen on Tuesday. In Galveston we completed a few of the remaining salvage jobs and have all remaining salvage jobs under contract.
The storage yard now has XX boats and transportation is being arranged by the surveyors for a number of boats which are ready to be moved.
We have also started to identify files for transition to local surveyors for monitoring and completion of salvage jobs that cannot be completed before we leave town. Our plan is still to have most of the surveyors heading out of town by the end of this week or into the weekend.
That is all for today and I look forward to seeing everyone next week as I get back to Alexandria.
