The fish are "gagging" on everything
Wow! Guiding is going great down here in SW Texas. The past few weeks here at Lake Amistad have been just outstanding for shear numbers of bass catching action! Many of the 'bigs' have gone on hiatus for a bit, but many other fish are more than willing to bite just about anything thrown in the water, so don't go swimming down here! We have seen quite a few decent fish over 5 lbs and the biggest of 7lb, 10oz over the last week or so. I have had a very busy time since my last blog... the most exciting thing is getting re-elected to the PAA (Professional Anglers Association) Board of Directors. I am a huge supporter of the PAA and the organization continues to provide anglers of all ages and levels an avenue to grow the sport within their own organization. If you would like more info on the PAA, please visit www.fishpaa.com.
Best thing about the PAA and BoatUS ANGLER is their partnership in the Weigh-to-Win contingency program! I hope everyone has gotten a chance to sign-up and get on board with this awesome program. The second most intriguing happening for me over the last few weeks is my new ride... I was able to pick up a new Skeeter 21FX with 250 Yamaha SHO just this past week. I am so excited about running this new boat and providing my clients with an even better Lake Amistad experience while fishing from this amazing platform. I will be taking this new rig up to the next Southern Open in TN at the beginning of June and I hope to christen it with a 'Win' and trip to the 2012 Bassmaster Classic.
