Big musky were biting on the St. Lawrence River in early December. Two anglers caught fish, two days apart, that are potential IGFA All-Tackle Length World Record catches.

Michael Forjohn, of Ambier, Penn., landed a 151.1-inch muskellunge on Dec. 2 that if approved would eclipse the existing All-Tackle Length record by 2 cm.

It might not be on the books for long as on Dec. 4, Mark Carlson of Rockford, Ill., hooked into a 51.9-inch musky (estimated at 55 pounds). Carlson is the current IGFA All-Tackle Length record holder for musky and could lose and regain that title rather quickly.
