ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., November 9, 2010 – Members of the country’s largest recreational boat owners group have more to celebrate with the grand opening of the new fuel dock at St. Petersburg Municipal Marina. Under a new partnership with the BoatUS Cooperating Marina program, the facility offers all Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatUS) members 10 cents off each gallon of fuel they pump — adding real savings to boater’s pockets during a difficult economy.
The largest municipal marina in Florida with 652 permanent slips and transient and short-term courtesy dockage, the new fuel dock and marina store will have a grand opening celebration this Saturday, November 18. The fuel dock offers ValvTect marine fuels in both diesel and non-ethanol gasoline.
The marina joins over 900 BoatUS Cooperating marinas across the country offering a combination of fuel, transient slip and repair discounts exclusively to BoatUS members.
“Just one fill-up could easily pay for the $24 annual BoatUS membership,” said BoatUS Cooperating Marina Program Manager David Mann. “After that, the savings only continue to add up.”
For more information or to join BoatUS at a special online annual rate of $24, go to www.BoatUS.com/membership. To learn more about the marina, go to www.stpete.org/marina.
